The Feminita Kazakhstan Feminist Initiative is a queer feminist collective that aims to create and strengthen women’s rights and activist communities that bring about social, political, economic and cultural change for the most oppressed groups in Kazakhstan (lesbian, bisexual, queer, women with disabilities, women in sex work). “Queer” acts as an umbrella term which includes all women who find themselves outside of traditional gender and sexual identity categories.

We are not afraid of feminism and consider it necessary for the rights of oppressed groups to be heard, actualized and manifested. Feminism is not just about women’s rights; it is a movement for human rights and her/his dignified life.
